Summary
Operation Devi Shakti (transl. Operation Goddess Shakti) was an operation of the Indian Armed Forces to evacuate Indian citizens and foreign nationals from Afghanistan after the collapse of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the fall of Kabul, the capital city, to the Taliban.
Objective
Evacuate Indian nationals and Afghan partners from Kabul as the government collapsed.
Outcome
Around 670 people were flown out, including the embassy staff and Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, in a window of a few days and under conditions that closed the airfield repeatedly.
